Absurdities and oddities started in 2023 and relate to personal experiences and observations accumulated over time. For this project, I rediscovered painting on raw canvas, and enjoyed the spontaneous application of charcoal and paint, watching it seep into the canvas and generally enjoying the unpolished effect. I also continue to use appliques, zippers and lights in my pieces because it is great fun. More later as the project evolves…
