Concordia University 2018-2020

During this period, Ursula has worked on several projects presented within her studio classes. These invite reflections about our society and our impact on the environment. For example, cyclist and pedestrian deaths are common on our city streets. Elderly people are not seen as valuable members of society. As we have witnessed during the COVID 19 pandemic, these are too often left isolated in nursing homes. Can we imagine being old ourselves one day? Can we imagine being a victim on our next bicycle ride? On another topic, microplastics are released in the water from the washing of textiles. Can we imagine being on the receiving end and having these appear in our drinking water?
